VIEW TEMPLATES

          View Templates

When using View Templates, the graphical settings are controlled on multiple views at a time,
this is an advantage when you want to align the appearance of their drawings.

View templates are one of the areas of a template that can not be completed at once - the
development of these is an ongoing process and maintenance / updating ongoing is very
important in order to achieve a well-functioning template in Revit.

          Creation of customized View templates

Open ”Manage View Template” from View
          tab.

The dialog box shows all available View
          Templates. These can be conveniently
copied and named as shown. It is
recommended that you create your own so
that you can always go back to the original
one. At the same time, you can categorize
your own custom View templates so they are
easier to find. Over time, the original View
templates may also be deleted, so that only
          four customizable ones are available.

When the new View template is formed, it
can be customized on the individual
parameters. This could be Scale, Detail
Level, Visibility / Graphics Overrides or View
Range. Thus you maintain the settings in
          one place.
