How Do I Create and Manage Proposals?
Overview
Proposals are entered using Emory Proposal Express (EPEX) in Compass. The proposals will
be entered by Research Administration Services (RAS) or department staff and will have a
V101 version designation. The V101 version contains the following:
▪ Proposed budget
▪ Principal Investigator (PI) and department information
▪ F&A rates
▪ Additional demographic and institutional details
The proposal development process involves completing a series of Yes/No questions within
EPEX. Many of these responses directly impact the routing workflow. Questions that influence
workflow have been clearly identified in each section. Please review them carefully before
initiating routing.
