Manage Proposals in EPEX


        Creating a Proposal


                                                             The Proposal Express defaults the Proposal ID to NEXT and
                                      1                       Version ID to V101. These values should not be changed.


                                                      1. Click Add a New Value tab
                                                      2. Click the Add button.

            A.  Enter the Proposal Information




















        Fields with an asterisk are required.

        1.  Enter the Proposal Title. This field can be a maximum of 82 characters.

        2.  Enter the Description. This field can be a maximum of 254 characters and attachments may be added later to
            complement the description.

        3.  Enter the Principal Investigator. You can use the search Lookup icon to search for a principal investigator by name
            or part of the name.  The Principal Investigator field can not be changed once a proposal is saved and a Proposal ID has been
            generated. Verify that you have the correct value before you start entering the proposal.
        4.  Enter the Department. Use the Lookup icon to identify all the PI-Department combinations that are valid.

        5.  Enter the Sponsor ID.

        6.  Enter the Sponsor Program. This field is free form text that allows you to describe the sponsor program.

        7.  Enter the Link to RFP. This field is free form information or a link to the sponsor website where the original RFP (Request for
            Proposal) is stored. You can add additional links within Emory that pertain this RFP and related submission efforts.
        8.  Enter the Purpose field. You can use the search Lookup icon to search for a Purpose value.

        9.  Select the Proposal Type from the dropdown list.
