In June 1918, the Kynologenclub den Haag organised a racing competition at the

Houtrusthallen exhibition grounds in The Hague (indoors). The racetrack was located in
front of the grandstand, giving the audience an excellent view. The starter was the well-
known cynologist and author Mr E. Graaf van Bijlandt. In February 1922, the last
occasional sighthound races were organised in The Hague. The dogs, Greyhounds and
Borzois, ran a straight track 250 metres long, and there were both flat and hurdle races.
