Present situation in the Netherlands
There are around 40 racing competitions and 10 coursing events organised each season,
from the end of March till the end of November. There are 12 active clubs, 10 with a
permanent track and 2 that only organise coursing events. There are approximately 425
dogs with a certificate (for racing or coursing). There are 2 Sloughis, both of which have a
racing and a coursing certificate.
The 2 licenced Sloughis in the Netherlands: sisters Goteifa Kamar al Akbar
(white) and Ghaada Kamar al Akbar (red).
