1969, DWZRV, UICL winner, Frankfurt

The Best Sighthound that day, 15th of June 1969 in
Frankfurt, was Afghan Hound Pan Pachacumac,
belonging to Mrs. Schulze.

According to Monika Dahnke Roshanzamir and
Dolores Ziefle, DWZRV, the modelling was
probably done by Mr. Zimmerle, judge, sculptor,
breeder of "von der Solitude" Borzois, who did
many medals for dog events at the time.

Present

The Commission for Sighthound Sport (CSS) is one of the non-mandatory commissions

of the FCI. The assignment of the commission is to represent, to organize and to take
care of the good functioning of the sighthound races and coursing.

The CSS is made up of delegates (23 in 2025) from countries which are a member of the
FCI and want to have a representative in this commission.

To become effective, all decisions made in the commission, have to be approved by the
FCI General Committee of the FCI. The CSS is led by a president and a secretary, chosen
by the delegates of the commission. It makes and keeps up to date the “FCI Regulations
for International Sighthound Races and Lure Coursing Events” and the “International
Guidelines for Lure Coursing judges.”

The CSS also supervises racing and coursing events where the “CACIL” can be awarded

and the “FCI International Race Champion Titles” (C.I.C. – International Race Champion
and C.I.B.P. International Beauty and Performance Champion). The CSS allocates the
World Racing Championships and the World Coursing Championships to the FCI member
countries.
