2010 started with the Dog CC & BOS at Crufts. His
second group win came at Bath, followed quickly by
another at East of England. By the end of the year
he had clocked up a total of 14 CC’s (taking his total
           to 26) and also a Group 4 at W&PBAS and Group 1
again at LKA. He finished 2010 as Top Dobermann
and was 4th overall in the Working Group. He had
also become the sire of 2 champions – Ch Amazon El
           Torro and Ch Jojavik Mafioso.

2011 was something of a whirlwind. He took the CC at
the first two champ shows of the year and it was finally
his turn at Crufts when he took the CC, BOB and went
on to Group 3. He then took 10 more CC’s with BOB
at all but one and that elusive record of the fantastic
Ch Sallate Ferris suddenly started to look attainable!
He took his 5th Group and went onto BIS at W&PBAW
and the day after he was BIS at Welsh Dobe Club. 3
more Group wins and a Group 4 were added to his
tally and his first champion daughter – Ch Tuwos
Hrana – was also made up. A further group win at East
of England, the Group and BIS at NW&PBA and the
CC & BOB at Leeds meant that he had equalled the
           record with 41 CC’s.

And so it was on to Paignton. First we won Open Dog
and then came the dog challenge – I would swear that
everyone could hear my heart pounding as the judge,
Jeff Horswell, took us through our paces and I actually
thought I would pass out as he went to the table to
pick up the CC. As he walked towards me the noise
from the crowd was deafening and Syd became the
new UK BREED RECORD HOLDER at just 4½ years
old. He went on to top off what was a truly memorable
day by taking the BOB and his 11th Group win. His
supporters stayed till the end of the day and cheered
him on with gusto and they lifted the roof off when
Brenda Banbury pointed to the Top Spot – we were so
           proud of him.

Syd went on to complete the year with a flourish. He
took a further 8 CC’s and 2 Group wins with RBIS
at Belfast. It seemed fitting that he should finish the
year at LKA by taking his 50th CC and he then went
onto BOB and Group 4 confirming him as RUNNER
UP TOP DOG ALL BREEDS 2011. His success as
a stud dog was also proven when he became TOP
           WORKING STUD & 9th overall.

                                                                                                                157
