Born on 17.02.07 Syd was the result of an outcross,
his sire being Ch Korifey iz Zoosfery who was in
himself a tightly bred dog doubling up on Multi Ch
Graaf Quinton v Neerlands Stam. Syd’s dam is Ch
Supeta’s Enuf Alredi JW (Keira) whose pedigree
includes the two imports Nemesis Feo v Koepsel
at Sallate and Victor v Roveline (2 dogs that have
featured strongly within our breeding programme
and with much success) and a doubling-up of the
breeding that produced both our own Ch Supeta’s
Orangina and Wendy Burge’s Jowendy’s Wild Child.
These bitches were both sired by Ch Jowendy’s
Kilowatt out of litter sisters Ch Jowendy’s Kia-Ora
and Jowendy’s Boogie Shoes, and formed the basis
of the bottom bitch line of both the sire and dam of
Keira.
Keira’s co-owners Sarah Smith and Tracey Bennett
had pick of litter and we decided that it would be
Syd – and that, as they say, was how it all began ...
Syd had 5 BPIB as a puppy the last one being at
Crufts 2008 where he also took the RCC to add to
the one taken earlier in the year at SEEDC.
Syd’s first champ show as a Junior was at WELKS
and we couldn’t quite believe it when the Judge –
Billy Henderson – walked towards him and handed
me his first CC at the tender age of 14 months.
Little did we know what was to follow. His next
champ show was SKC under Chris Hollands and he
not only took his 2nd CC but BOB as well. At his
next 3 of the 4 champ shows attended Syd won his
class and took the RCC. Then it was onto Blackpool
– I’ll never forget it as Margaret Wildman gave him
the BOB as a committee member was shouting to
everyone to ‘get out of the marquee’s and evacuate
the showground’ as the show was abandoned due
to the high winds. So Syd was a Champion at the
tender age of 16 months. Syd took a further 3 CC’s
that year and at Midland Counties he was 2nd in the
group. He finished the year on a real high by taking
his first Group win, followed by RBIS at LKA 2008.
I suppose you could say that 2009 was a quiet
year by comparison but Syd still clocked up a
further 6 CC’s and 5 RCC’s as well as gaining his
Luxembourg title from only 2 visits to Europe. He
finished 2009 as runner-up Top Male Dobermann
and, having been used by several prominent
breeders he was also TOP SIRE – ALL BREEDS .
