to this pairing. In the same year Mr Arther
Bridge also imported an in-whelp bitch from
Holland, Daleviz Loessie, mated to Friebo van
Stoneyhurst and she became the foundation of

Mr & Mrs Curnow imported another American
bitch in 1956, Carwyns Orilla who was in whelp
to Am Ch Bel-Rocs Dobev Enzal - one of
the dogs from this litter went to Molly Sharpe
in Scotland. This was Ch Chaman Kaama of
Tavy who was the breeds first Champion dog in
great Britain and he also went on to sire several
Champions. Mr Jack Mildenhall (Hollyfir Bull
Terriers) imported a dog and bitch from Austria
along with Mrs VJ Smith who imported Puppi
vom Lillienhof of Snowdown whilst Mrs D
Bridle imported the black and tan Eros from the
same kennel as Mr Midenhall’s Hansi.
1961 saw Mrs J Stanton import a dog from
Canada, Staincroft’s Hillrise Little Pride and
later Mr Hamilton Renwick imported son of the
great Am Ch Rebels Roc’s Casanova V Kurt.
A small red dog called Birlings Casanova
Rebel. Mrs Molly Sharpe also imported a black
and tan son of Casanova, uncropped, who then
became Ch Chaman Rebel Roc’s Jolly Scot.
Imports from Europe, America and Canada
formed the foundation stock of the present day
Miniature Pinschers in Great Britain, combining
the elegant American type with the more
stockier continental type. As most imports were
cropped it was diffucult to gauge ear size or
