Week Two | Peace

Scripture Read Luke 1:46-47

The second candle, also purple, represents peace.
At Christmas we celebrate the birth of Jesus, who came to bring peace to
the world. When Mary learned that God had chosen her to be the

mother of Jesus, she was surprised and frightened, but the angel told her
to not be afraid. Mary's faith and trust in God gave her peace.
The light of Christ in our world can shine this brightly in you! How can

you let Christ shine through you?

Peace through Acts of Kindness:
• Forgive someone who has been difficult.

• Send a card to someone who is ill.
• Do a chore without being asked.
• Donate a book to a doctor's waiting room.

Pray
God of Light, help us become peacemakers in your world by shining
your light brightly. Amen.
