Week Four | Love
Scripture Read Luke 2:19.
On the fourth week of Advent, we light the final purple candle as we wait
for the birth of our Savior.
Like Mary, think about how much God loves us. People usually think of
love as a feeling. What if you think of it as an action? He sent his love to
us in the form of Jesus. He loves us no matter what. How can we share
that love with others?
Love through Acts of Kindness:
• Make a heart ornament for your tree from paper, clay, or
cinnamon dough.
• Write a note or card to someone who might need some extra
love this week. Tell them how much you love them and how
much God loves them too.
• Thank a public servant (police officer, sanitation worker,
firefighter) with cookies or a note.
• Tell someone why they are special.
Pray
God of Love, your love amazes us! Thank you for your great love. Help
us to remember we are your children and that you love us. May we love
others in this same way. Amen.
