The College recommends that parents take an active part in helping their daughter to
make wise subject choices based on the latest information that is available.
A conversation with your daughter is usually a good starting point, but parents are free
to contact any member of staff to discuss a programme that best suits your daughter’s
individual needs. In Week 6 of Term 3 we will hold our annual Pathways Evening to
provide an opportunity for students and parents to hear about the senior courses we
offer at the College and to ask questions of subject specialists. Following this the GEMS
teachers will work with their students to carefully consider the most appropriate subject
choices for 2020. In week 10 of Term 3 an interview will be organized for each student
with their parents and GEMS teachers to finalize option choices for 2020.
Please note: It is important that students take care when making their first choice of
subjects, as class numbers may be limited. Where optional subjects are available,
classes will only be offered if student numbers are viable.
