Economics
Aims: What is an economy? What are markets and how do they work? Do they always
provide equitable outcomes for all citizens? What is the Governments role in this? This
course will help answer some of these questions and provide a fundamental knowledge of
the economy that all future voters should possess.
Competencies: Comprehension, processing and evaluation; Investigative; Statistical and
analytical.
Pathways this course contributes towards: University courses where Level 3 Economics is
useful background e.g. Commerce Degrees, social work degrees, arts degrees, science
degrees.
