Broken Fortune Save the Water

He scrubs the floors, Oh! how clear the water was,
She cooks for a foreign family, How blue its glow was.
They live next to the street with no sanity. The rivers of this land have since changed,
Food is a luxury,Not a commodity. With dark waste flowing in its waters.
Rivers are dying,
Each penny matters And with it, we might too.
As the search for relief continues. It’s time for us to take action and save water soon.
Yet, when asked to lend a hand,
They lend their worn out broken skin. Water has given us so many things,
Despite the physical misery, Things we love and use.
Despite the lack of cover on cold evenings, Resources we need to live,
Their hearts radiate nothing but warmth. It’s time to give back and show our love too!
Though it might seem to be everywhere,
He wears a fancy suit, Most of it is going to be gone soon.
She wears nothing but gold. Saving our resources will help nature,
They lounge in their mansion, And improve our lives too!
With extravagant chandeliers,

Yet, he drowns himself in alcohol,
While she wraps herself in her cold arms as she weeps.
When asked to show compassion,
They fake a smile.

This is how broken society is.
As the natural balance tilts,
It is just waiting to fall.

Hope the kind rise out of their misery,
Someday the golden ray of sunlight will shine through us all.
