Poverty Education
I came across an old cabin in the woods, Education is a strong power,
Nothing more than just mud was on the floor. With it, one can stand as tall as the sky.
Falling apart and rotting, Without it, one can feel sorrow and cold.
As snow floods through the entryway. Back then I didn’t want to go to school,
I thought it would make me look cool.
A helpless family abided,
In a cabin so dreary and discourteous. I didn’t know that education would help me earn a living.
With not a piece of food, When I saw people who didn’t go to school,
The children were wept for bread. I got confused and asked myself “if god was forgiving?”.
Some don’t have the privilege to go to school,
“Give us a morning meal,” they said, Some tease them and made them look cruel.
“Oh dear!” their helpless mother exclaimed,
What else could she say? Education is a wonderful thing.
It can make a person wealthy and wise.
The affluent and gay, We must help children learn,
Consider such a cabin to be yours, So that in the future they don’t have to be concerned.
And understand what wretchedness is.

I never will waste away,
While numerous destitute individuals I know,
Are as pitiable as they.
