You are a fantastic mix of cultures: Span-
ish, Dutch, American, and Latin. How
many languages do you speak? What
part of your personality is Dutch and
what part is Spanish?
Victoria: We speak three languages:
Dutch, English, and Spanish. I think I’m
more Dutch in appearance and Spanish
in character.
Cristina: I think I’m a mix...like the dogs
we rescue, a mutt! Ha! It’s true.

You’ve been starting to make a name for
yourselves on social media. How import-
ant are followers and likes to you? Do
you see it as a way to have a positive
influence on young people?
Victoria: Social media is a great platform
for communication. It’s a great way to
make yourself known, but you can’t make
it your life.
Cristina: Of course, it can be dangerous,
like anything. But you have to be prudent
and careful. It’s funny how I started my
new account. It’s precisely because my old
account was hacked, so I decided to create
a public one.

Do you plan to go to college?
Victoria: Yes. I’ve always wanted to go to
college. I would like to study business
administration.
Cristina: I like law. Also history. I think
those two subjects are very closely related.

What’s your favorite book?
Victoria: Of Mice and Men by John
Steinbeck.
Cristina: The Giver by Lois Lowry. I read
it when I was younger and I loved it.

Your favorite movie? The Fast and the
Furious! Without a doubt. We both like
these. We watch every Fast and Furious
movie over and over again. We never get
tired of them. n
