Mental Exercising
• Visualize yourself in a favorite place in your country.
• Visualize yourself in a nice place you have visited in the United
States.
• Visualize yourself succeeding at a difficult task such as
making a presentation.
• Get up, walk to the window, and look outside.
• Take a short break and talk to a coworker, your supervisor, or
yourself (very quietly).
Phrases to Say to Yourself to Relax
I need to take a break and clear my head.
Take a deep breath.
Calm down.
Breathe deeply and focus.
Let’s just concentrate on the task at hand.
