Opening and initial survey
Part of hosting events is not just to provide information but to also GATHER information. The more you learn about your Realtors, especially where in their business they have pain points, the better you’re able to position yourself as THE loan officer who heals their pains.
One of the easiests ways to do this is by having them fill out a survey. And it is in my opinion, you should do a survey before you start and one when you end. It’s good to do one before you start because some Realtors will have to leave before you’re done which means you’d miss out on an opportunity to learn more about them.
Another reason it’s good to do 2 surveys is because it makes the length of the surveys much smaller than simply doing one large survey at the end...plus, the questions I want to ask the end would get a much smaller response rate (or not as truthful) if I didn’t build the rapport with them through the presentation.
Now the surveys I do usually follow the same format from presentation to presentation, but I adjust them slightly based on the topic I’m presenting on. I also make sure that the questions will help me better understand where they are at on a topic so when I do meet with with them 1-on-1 I am even more prepared to share how I am the loan officer for them.
