Quit India Movement - 08.08.2019
Being the month of our Independence Day, many activities related to
the occasion was held by many classes. Class IVA, came with a thematic
assembly of Quit India Movement. The students enacted a small skit
to demonstrate the movement, which made the students realize the
efforts put in by our leaders during the period. Principal appreciated
the students and the class teacher’s efforts and highlighted the
importance of ahimsa in each and every one of them.
International Youth Day - 13.08.2019
International Youth Day is an awareness day designated by the United
Nations. The purpose of the day is to draw attention to a given set
of cultural and legal issues surrounding youth. This theme was taken
over by Class IVB for their assembly. Students along with class teacher
highlighted the efforts to make education more relevant, equitable and
inclusive for all youth, including efforts by youth themselves. Students
also listed out the youth strength in the world as a whole and how
they can be used in right channels.
International Day Of The World’s Indigenous People - 16.08.2019
The International Day of the World’s Indigenous People is observed on
9th August each year to front up and protect the rights of the world’s
indigenous population. This event also recognizes the achievements
and contributions that indigenous people make to improve world
issues such as environmental protection. Having been given a tough
topic beyond their comprehension, the students of Class VIC rose up
to the challenge and presented a splendid thematic assembly based
on the topic.
World Humanitarian Day-19.8.2019
World Humanitarian Day (WHD) is held every year on 19 August
to pay tribute to aid workers who risk their lives in humanitarian
service, and to rally support for people affected by crises around the
world.
Students of Class VI D, did extensive study and during the
assembly on this day informed their peer group that over 130 million
people throughout the world are currently in crisis, either through war
or natural disasters and are in need of humanitarian aid.
With the help of a mime, they displayed that kindness goes a long way in helping others in need. Their
commanding performance sent the message that strength, power and perseverance when added to kindness,
moulds dedicated heroes.
