Dungeness B Power Station
White Associates completed the cooling and ventilation
design to the reactor monitoring equipment rooms and
their associated UPS power supply plant rooms - to one of
the country’s leading power stations. The works included
highly complex SPOF analysis, compliance with rigorous
specification requirements, and British Energy
engineering guidelines. The systems require 100%
redundancy, with neither system carrying the same
manufacture, nor inherent components. The project also
involves the design of a hydrogen extract system to keep
the plant room atmosphere <1% hydrogen.
