Continue  to  weave  the  three  stands  against  the
                    lay of the rope, over and under, until each strand

                    is  tucked  back  into  the  rope  two  or  three  times.
                    The strand ends may be trimmed off, but do not
                    trim them too short, since the splice can unravel.

                    Roll  the  splice  between  your  hands  to  make  it
                    uniformly round.
