Money is a Mirror, it Reflects Who We Are

Money has only been a part of the mass human experience for about 250 years. Compared to the

hundreds of thousands of years we've been on the planet, money is a mere blip on the radar.

Evolutionary psychologists believe that the birth of human conscious seems to have corresponded

with our ability to express or "name" our experience. In my observation and experience, money

represents a powerful mirror that both reflects and/or even magnifies the beauty, pain, or wound

of the beholder. Money will not make us into something we are not. It can and often does magnify

that which we are. If you want to truly know who someone is, give them a lot of money. Every

crack, insecurity, or unresolved conflict or aspect will soon be revealed. As will one's goodness,

generosity and beauty. Money does not, as it turns out, change us. It simply reveals who we are.
