Strategies for the Martyr
• They need to be acknowledged for their efforts (meetings, planning, etc..)
• Clarify their expectations and strive to meet them.
• Don’t let them down…they don’t tend to forgive and forget easily.
• Always inform them of the downside of choices, but motivate them with the upside.
• They are driven to help others more than themselves (family, causes, etc.); focus on this to
motivate them into action.
