First Things First
How do you visualize your big day?
• What time of year do you envision? Your venue and
wedding date should be the first thing you select in your
wedding planning process. It’s okay if you don’t have
your date determined before you look at venues.
• What is your favorite season?
• Will you get married in the town where you grew up,
where you live now or will it be a destination wedding?
• Will it be held in the city or in the countryside?
• Will your ceremony be religious, non-denominational or
secular?
• Will the ceremony and reception be held at the same
venue or separate?
• Will your ceremony be indoors or outdoors?
• Will your reception be indoors or outdoors?
• Will you be married in the morning, afternoon or
evening? Secondly
• Will your wedding be formal, semi-formal or casual?
• About how many guests are you expecting?
• What is the ballpark budget you’re trying to stay within?
• Who all will be contributing to your budget?
• What is the style & vibe you’re going for? Modern, Urban,
Industrial, Organic, Rustic, Classic, Glamorous?
