The Importance of setting

        of daily routines at home

As your child settles into the school year, establishing a consistent morning and
bedtime routine becomes essential for their success, especially for young children.
You might ask, why is routine so important? Young children thrive on structure and
a predictable routine. It helps them feel secure, more con dent, and better prepared
for the day ahead. Mornings can be stressful for both children and parents, but a
well-established routine can reduce anxiety, encourage independence, and make the
transition from home to school much smoother. Simple steps like waking up at the
same time every day, getting dressed, and allowing enough time for a nutritious
breakfast can set a positive tone for the entire day.

Equally important is the bedtime routine. Young children need plenty of rest to
support their physical, cognitive, and emotional development. A calming evening
ritual, such as taking a bath, reading a favourite story, or having quiet time before
bed, helps signal that it's time to wind down and prepares their bodies for restful
sleep. Consistent bedtime routines not only improve sleep quality but also make
waking up easier in the morning, reducing the chances of crankiness or fatigue.
Overall, building these routines early in the school year provides children with the
stability and support they need to thrive in the classroom and beyond.
