The integration of the lesson went well because the learners were responding and taking
part in the lesson. I was able to fill in the gaps where they could not understand the

concepts or differences. Some of the learners could not identify the difference between
the abbreviations and acronyms and this took time and I had to explain it all over again.

The challenges that I faced during the lesson was that most learners have never seen

abbreviations or any of those concepts. They have only saw the ones in their notes and
textbooks and they have never seen one. I have realized because of this, they have never

written one before. I have addressed this challenge by showing them the example of
them. While I was showing them the abbreviations, I discovered that some of them they

confuse it with acronyms. Learners were not able to address the differences.

Professionally I have learnt that one must be prepared on all the topics that are related to

your topic at hand. My lesson design was well developed but there were some challenges
regarding the implementation. My teaching skills have improved by being able to manage

the classroom and keep the lesson under my control.
