“Indeed, it would.” Mr. Burr stands up and throws the apple to Jaxon.
                   “Have a wonderful day, Jaxon.”
Jaxon catches the apple, and Mr. Burr disappears. Poof! Just like that.
But the apple doesn’t disappear. It changes. Jaxon wonders how and why it’s a fresh, new
apple and not the one Mr. Burr was eating.
Now that’s a cool trick, he thinks.
But, right now, the why and the how aren’t very important because it’s a bright red, juicy
apple, and Jaxon is hungry. He decides to see if it tastes as good as it looks. He takes a big bite,

and as it turns out, it’s delicious.
Jaxon picks up the paper and then remembers the lawn. He pulls out the necklace and says,
“Show me.” A lawnmower appears by the fence. He turns to look at the lawn again. It looks
freshly cut just like it did yesterday! Now that’s an even cooler trick, he thinks.
He smiles and goes back into the house, eating the delicious apple delivered to him from the
               past.
