surrendering to economics over the wellbeing and safety of those in partnership with
leadership, is a portrait of arrogance, weakness, and self-interest, by the command.
The human nature to survive is most power during crises that may have the opportunity to
destroy and take life. There are leaders of organizations making decisions to go into survival
mode during the current environment. Human nature to protect everything one has built is
understandable and even can debate under leadership style and maintenance. Embracing this
human nature can be harmful to the organization if the balance between survival and
exceptional partnership isn't the bottom line. Succumbing to pressures and neglecting the
people in the company that has been loyal and have helped grow the company can't be the
survival path. Economics, assets, shareholders, and pride can't be the driving factor.
Exceptional leaders lead from the front and understand that human capital is the reason for
their success and the success of the organization. Survival is different for those leaders in these
crises. Leadership is expressing determination and grit to inspire those in the company to
achieve great things when pressure is at it's best. The confidence to ask those in perfect
partnership to forge forward to the future for survival. Leaders are capturing the essence of the
time to reinvent and catapult beyond all organizational desires. Human nature is present but
not accepted by any stretch. The command for persistence in charter and ethics articulating the
decisions and allowing for exceptional leadership.
There are loss, discomfort, and pain, and there maybe even a new starting point eventually.
Still, with honorable leadership and with a solid foundation of the organization, partners in the
company will continue the journey in lockstep with command. This type of partnership is real
survival, having people that believe in the vision of the organization in those most desperate
times that will stand firm. This partnership can only be a reward of compassion, faithfulness,
respect and ultimately, the mutual love for one another. An exceptional connection is the
survival path and should be the strategy with leadership leading from the front.
