The 2024 Bill
Barber Award for

Showmanship

Immediately following the conclu-
sion of the afternoon AirVenture air-
show on Saturday, July 27, airshow
performers and airshow fans gathered
near airshow center on Boeing Plaza
for the presentation of the 2024 Bill
Barber Award for Showmanship to
Kirby Chambliss of the Red Bull Air
Force. Bill Barber’s son, Bill Barber II,
was on hand to present the award to
Kirby, who was joined by his Red Bull
Team members and many fellow air-
show performers.
The Bill Barber Award for Show-
manship began in 1986 and is award-
ed to airshow performers or teams
that have demonstrated great skill and Kirby Chambliss is surrounded by members of the Red Bull Air Force as he accepts the 2024 Bill Barber
