The Orono School District has become a major area of our community involvement. We hire a
great deal of students from the district and now participate actively in their fundraising
                activities.

Rockvam Boat Yards, Inc. started by sponsoring the sign at the Orono High School Football
field. The photo to the right
shows Jerry center with Ike their
                football coach, and Tom
                Rockvam, Jerry’s Brother, and
                Ted Oare. Ike recently passed
away at age 91 and was an
inspiration to all the guys on the
                team.

A few years later Rockvam Boat
Yards, Inc. entered into a long
                term sponsorship of all athletics
                including the Orono High School
                football Score Board.
