DI - 186 Diagnosis - Diagnosis-fault diagnosis of electronic and electrical parts

Failure phenomenon Phenomenon description
Engine starts and blower works, press the air conditioning switch, the compressor does

Diagnosis procedure
1. Check if the compressor belt is slipping or loose.

Yes> Replace the compressor belt.
NO>go to Step 2.
2. Check the fuse

a. Ignition switch:LOCK.
b. Open the frame fuse box cover.

c. Remove compressor fuses F \ L2 (50A), F09 (7.5A).
Caution
Dismount the fuse with a special fuse remover. Do not pull it out directly with hands, which may
damage the fuse.

d. Check if the intermediate fuse of compressor fuses F \ L7

Disconnect Normal (30A), F09 (7.5A) is burnt out.

Check if the fuse is broken

Yes> replace with the same spec fuse.
NO>go to Step 3.
3. Check the compressor relay

a. Ignition switch:LOCK.
b. Disconnect the compressor relay R10 and measure the continuity with a multimeter.

c. Take a multimeter to measure the continuity between the
No.30 terminal and No.87 terminal of the compressor relay
R10.
Standard resistance:

Storage battery voltage Standard value

Do not apply voltage on relay 30

and Terminal 87
