DI - 386 Diagnosis - Diagnosis-fault diagnosis of electronic and electrical parts
7. Check the power circuit and connector of exhaust brake solenoid valve
a. Ignition switch: LOCK.
b. Disconnect the connector F023 of exhaust braking solenoid valve.
c. Ignition switch: ON, press the exhaust brake switch.
d. Measure the voltage between the exhaust braking
solenoid valve connector F023 terminal 1 and the
ground with the multimeter in voltage gear.
Standard voltage:
Multimeter connecting terminal Standard value
F023(1)-grounding Storage battery voltage
Check if the result is ok?
Yes>go to Step 8.
NO>repair or replace the power supply harness.
8. Check the earth circuit of exhaust brake solenoid valve
a. Ignition switch: LOCK.
b. Disconnect the connector F023 of exhaust braking solenoid valve.
c. Use a multimeter to measure the resistance between 2#
terminal of exhaust brake solenoid valve connector F023
and earthing.
Standard resistance:
Multimeter connecting terminal Standard value
F023(2)-grounding About 0Ω
Check if the result is ok?
Yes> retest the above steps.
No > repair or replace the earth circuit of exhaust brake solenoid valve.
