d. Use a multimeter to measure the conductivity between
30# and 87# terminals of exhaust brake relay R11.
Standard resistance:
Storage battery voltage Standard value
Battery positive pole connecting
to Terminal 85 and negative About 0Ω
pole connecting to Terminal 86
Check if the result is ok?
Yes>go to Step 3.
No>Repair or replace the exhaust brake relay.
3. Check exhaust brake switch
a. Ignition switch: LOCK.
b. Disconnect the combination switch connectorB030.
c. Use a multimeter to measure the conductivity between 2#
and 4# terminals of combination switch B030.
Standard resistance:
Multimeter connecting terminal Standard value
B030(2)-B030(4) Conduction
Is the test result ok?
Yes>go to Step 4.
No > repair or replace the exhaust brake switch.
4. Check the wire harness and connector between exhaust brake switch and engine ECU.
a. Ignition switch: LOCK.
b. Disconnect the connector F099 of engine ECU.
c. Press the exhaust brake switch.
d. Use a multimeter to measure the resistance between 43#
and 83# terminals of engine ECU connectorF099.
Standard resistance:
Multimeter connecting terminal Standard value
F099(43)-F099(83) About 0Ω
