Diagnosis procedure

1. Check the exhaust brake fuse

a. Ignition switch: LOCK.

b. Open the frame fuse box cover.

c. Remove the exhaust brake fusesF04(10A).

Caution
FR
Dismount the fuse with a special fuse remover. Do not pull it out directly with hands, which may
damage the fuse.

d. Check whether the exhaust brake fuse F04 (10A) is burnt

Disconnect Normal out. BR

Check if the fuse is broken

Yes>replace with the same spec fuse.

NO>go to Step 2.
2. Check the exhaust brake relay

a. Ignition switch: LOCK.

b. Disconnect the exhaust brake relay R11, use a multimeter to measure its conductivity.

c. Use a multimeter to measure the conductivity between

30# and 87a# terminals of exhaust brake relay R11.

Standard resistance:

Storage battery voltage Standard value

Do not apply voltage on relay
About 0Ω
85 and Terminal 86
