Engine Control Module (ECM) IN
Overview
1. Electronic Control Module (ECM) is the core of electronic control common rail system. ECU collects DI
the current working status of the engine through a variety of sensors and switches, analyzes and
calculates according to the pre-calibrated best working parameters, and controls the engine fuel EG
injection, injection timing and injection pressure, in order to adjust the working status of the engine,
and achieve the purpose of saving fuel, high efficiency and low emission.
TR
2. Normal operation voltage: 9 ~ 16V, working temperature: -40 ~ 105 ℃.
3. Over-voltage protection: -14 ~ 24V.
AX
4. ECM has a self-protection function, in maintenance, it may not start, but everything is normal after
changing the ECM, so there may be ECM failure, in fact, ECM is not damaged, but the ECM enters
into the self-protection mode, and ECM will get right after some time. FR
Change
1. Switch off the ignition switch ST
2. Disconnect the cable of battery negative pole
Caution BR
When disconnecting and reconnecting the battery negative cable, turn off the ignition and light switch
first, and fully release the battery negative terminal fixing nut. Do not pry the cable terminals while BW
performing these operations.
3. Remove the ECM EL
a. Disconnect the ECM connector.
b. Remove the ECM connector.
Caution
After removing the connector, make sure that the pontes
of connector do not come into contact with dirt, water
and other contaminants.
c. Remove the ECM bracket fixing bolts.
d. Remove the ECM module with bracket assembly.
Caution
• Disassemble the battery negative cable for 1 min or
more before removing the ECM.
• Be careful, no collision is allowed when disassembling
the ECM.
• After disassembling the ECM, pay attention to water
resistance.
• Pay attention to the protection of the plug pins.
