Overview
1. Accelerator pedal is also known as accelerator pedal, and the main role is to control the fuel injection of DI
injector, in order to control the power output of engine. With the continuous development of automotive
electronics, the electronic throttle is more and more widely used. When the driver tramples on the accelerator
EG
pedal of the electronic throttle, it actually transmits an accelerator pedal position sensor signal to the engine
ECU.
2. The potentiometer accelerator pedal position sensor operates as per the principles of bleeder circuit, and TR
ECM feeds 5V voltage to the sensor circuit. The electronic accelerator pedal is connected to electric brush of
slide rheostat inside the sensor through a rotation shaft. When the position of accelerator pedal position sensor
AX
is changed, the voltage between the electric brush and ground terminal will be changed, ECM will convert this
voltage into a positional signal of accelerator pedal, and ECM will monitor both slide rheostats inside the
accelerator pedal to ensure the reliability of output signal.
