Crankshaft position sensor IN
Overview
1 The crankshaft position sensor is mainly used to measure the engine speed, and convert the engine DI
speed signal into an electric signal, which will be transmitted to ECU. ECU will calculate the engine
speed as per this signal, refer to the signal of camshaft position sensor, and judge the stroke position of EG
piston inside the air cylinder to control its fuel injection time, fuel injector pressure and capacity, etc.
2. Failures of crankshaft position sensor are mainly presented by engine not starting, difficult to start or
shaking at high speed TR

1. Switch off the ignition switch
2. Disconnect the cable of battery negative pole

3. Flip over the cab to the front
4. Remove the crankshaft position sensor

a. Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector.

b. Remove the crankshaft position sensor fixing bolt.
c. Remove the crankshaft position sensor.
Caution
Clean the installation surface after dismounting to
ensure no grease dirty
5. Install the crankshaft position sensor
a. Install the crankshaft position sensor to the seat hole and tighten the crankshaft position sensor fixing bolt.
Torque: 9~12N•m
b. Connect the crankshaft position sensor connector.
Caution
Install it by pressing it in. Do not knock the sensor into the installation hole by any impacting tool (such
as hammer, etc.)
6. Put the cab back
7. Connect the battery cable
