Engine section – Engine (Cummins ISF3.8) EG - 261

Change IN
1. Switch off the ignition switch

2. Slowly unscrew the pressure cap of water tank DI
Caution

Do not open the pressure cap while the engine is heated. EG
Open the pressure cap until the coolant temperature
drops below 50 ° C, as high temperature coolant or TR
ejected steam may cause personal injury.

3. Lift the vehicle, unscrew the drain bolt at the lower FR
part of the water tank to discharge the coolant
Caution ST

• When draining the coolant, collect the residual coolant
in a special container. BR
• When using a cross screwdriver to remove the drain bolt,
do not apply excessive force to damage the drain screw. BW

• Perform waste disposal as required if you do not
continue to use it.

4. Remove the engine coolant temperature sensor

a. Disconnect the coolant temperature sensor connector.

b. Remove the coolant temperature sensor.

Caution

• Clean the mounting surface after disassembly.

• Clean the mounting hole threads after disassembly.

• Clean the sensor mounting thread after disassembly.

5. Install the coolant temperature sensor

a. Apply sealant to the threads.

b. Use a wrench to tighten the coolant temperature sensor

and connect the coolant temperature sensor connector.

Torque: 17~23N•m

6. Add engine coolant (see "Chapter EG Engine Section - Engine - Cooling System, Coolant
Replacement")

7. Start the engine and check for coolant leaks
