TR-18 Transmission and Control Mechanism - Clutch

3. Check the clutch release bearing assembly.

a. Check the bearing for jam, damage, noise or abnormal
rotation.
b. And check the contact surface of clutch diaphragm
spring for damage.
Caution
• Check the inner and outer diameter surfaces of
bearing prior to installation and replace if deformed
or damaged.

• If the contact surfaces of the release bearing and the
release fork shaft are worn, check the release fork
shaft and release bearings, and replace if necessary.

4. Check the clutch release fork.
a. Check if the fork shaft is deformed, broken or cracked,
and check whether there is any damage to the contact
surface with the release bearing and replace if necessary.

5. Install the clutch release fork shaft and the release
bearing assembly

a. Install the clutch release bearing onto the 1st shaft end
cover.

b. Install the clutch fork.
c. Install the clutch fork shaft onto the clutch housing and
through the clutch fork.
d. Install the woodruff key of clutch fork shaft.
