62-280 DIAGNOSIS-HORN SYSTEM

Diagnosis Procedure

1. Check the fuse

(a). Ignition switch:LOCK".

(b). Check the fuse in the fuse box of the engine
room:
Disconnect Normal
F19(15A)。

Is the result normal?
Yes>To step 2.
No >Replace the fuse.

2. Check the horn relay

(a). Ignition switch:"LOCK".
(b). Remove the horn relay R13.

(c). Check whether the performance of the
horn relay R13 is in good condition with the
multimeter on the resistance range.
Standard resistance：
Connect by Standard
Conditions
multimeter value

Ordinary state 1 - 2 Existed
Apply the power
supply voltage
between the No. 3 - 5 ＜ 2Ω
1 and No. 2 pin
Is the result normal?
Yes>To step 3.
No >Replace the horn relay.

3. Check the harness and the connector (horn relay-BCM control unit)

(a). Ignition switch:"LOCK".
(b). Remove the horn relay R13.
