62-406 DIAGNOSIS-LIGHTING SYSTEM

Symptom description：
Switch on the small light of combination switch, neither backlight lamp turns on.

Diagnosis Procedure

1. Check the fuse

(a). Ignition switch:"OFF".
(b). Open interior fuse box cover.
(c). Take out position lamp fuse F6 (7.5A).
NOTICE:
A special fuse puller is required for removing the fuse. It shall not be directly pulled out by
hand, which will damage the fuse easily.

(d). Check if the middle fuse wire of position
lamp fuse F6 (7.5A) is fusing.
Disconnect Normal

Check if the fuse is fusing.
Yes>Replace the fuse.
NOTICE:
While replacing the fuse, be sure to replace it with a fuse of the equal ampere rating value.
The backup lamp fuse value of this vehicle type is 7.5A.
No >To step 2.

2. Check the combination switch

(a). Disconnect combination switch C16.
(b). Switch on the small light of combination switch.

(c). Use a multimeter to measure that the
continuity between No. 11 terminal and No.
OFF T.S
19 terminal of combination switch shall be
