62-506 DIAGNOSIS-ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM
ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM
PRECAUTIONS
1. Cut off the power.
(a). Before disassembling or installing any electrical equipment, and when the tool or
equipment is exposed to bare electrical terminals, firstly it must disconnect the
battery negative terminal cable and, finally connect the negative battery cable.
Prevent damage to people or vehicles.
(b). The Ignition switch must be switched down unless it is otherwise specified.
Note :
• Before connecting or disconnecting the battery negative terminal cable, it must turn off
the ignition switch and the lighting switch. (If this is not done, the semiconductor element
may be damaged.)
• When removing the negative terminal cable from the battery, the fault code stored in
the computer will be deleted.) Therefore, before removing the negative battery from the
battery, you should first check the diagnostic results ( fault code ).
• If it installs controlled the door lock, please do not leave the car keys in the car before
disconnecting the battery negative cable, so as not to lock the door.
2. Disassemble and assemble the instrument cluster or disconnect negative pole of
battery will cause the instrument cluster to clear its odometer and clock.
Note :
The total odometer will not be cleared.
3. Disconnecting the battery negative terminal cable will cause the audio system to
lose the saved settings.
Note :
After reconnecting the battery negative terminal cable, you need to reset the audio system.
4. Ignition switch expression.

5. The precautions of overhauling engine control system fault.
(a). It is forbidden to disconnect the battery from the circuit when the engine is running at
high speed to prevent the ECU and sensor from being damaged by instantaneous
over-voltage.
(b). When welding in the vehicle body, you should first disconnect the ECU power.
Special attention should be given to vehicle repair operations where close to the
