62-508 DIAGNOSIS-ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM

•If the connector is detached, the system or other system to be checked may store
                  a fault code.
(q). If it conducts check (check the female terminal) when the wiring harness connector
                  is not connected:
•Use the special tool to check harness. If the test probe is forcibly inserted, it will
                  cause poor contact.
•If the connector is detached, the system or other system to be checked may store
                  a fault code.
(r). When checks, if a short circuit accidentally occurs due to the wrong insertion of
terminals, the harness, sensor, ECU , or other components may be damaged, and
                  inspection must be carefully performed.
(s). It is not necessary to check according to the order of the checklist:
•If the voltage test results differ from the standard values, please check the relevant
sensors, actuators and wiring harnesses, if necessary repair or replace.
•After repairing or replacement, it should check again with a voltmeter to confirm
                  whether the fault is excluded.
(t). Check the resistance and continuity between the ECU terminals with a multimeter:
                  • Ignition switch:OFF.
•Remove the ECU harness connector. .
           (u). Ground (bonding) check:
•Ground connections are very important for normal operation of electrical and
electronic circuits. Ground connections are often exposed to moisture, dirt and other
corrosive chemicals. Corrosion (rust) site will produce an additional resistance. This
additional resistance will change the performance of the circuit.
•Electronically controlled circuits are very sensitive to grounding. Grounding
loosening or corrosion can adversely affect electronic control circuits. Poor
grounding or corrosion can easily affect the circuit. Even if the grounding site
appears clean, the surface may also have a thin rust.
