DIAGNOSIS-ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM 62-605
HIGH IDLE SPEED (IDLE SPEED IS NOT WITHIN THE
SPECIFIED VALUE)
Fault phenomenon Diagnosis logic Possible reasons
• Idling motor fault 62
• wrong mixture ratios • Vacuum leakage
High idle speed (idle • Throttle body • Wrong mixture ratios
speed is notwithin the • Idle speed motor • The throttle pulling wire is too
specified value) • Vacuum pipeline tight
• ECU • The throttle body fault
• ECU
Notice:
Whenthe motor idling runs, if the mixture gas distribution disorders, air intake system leaks
or some cylinder doesnot work due to the ignition system failure, it will cause the default of
no idle, too high of the idle speed, unstable idle or poor fast idle and other defaults.
Diagnosis Procedure
1. Check the motor data
(a). Ignition switch: LOCK。
(b). Connect the diagnosis tool with the fault diagnosis connector (16pins) on the lower
left of the dashboard.
(c). Ignition switch: Turn on the ignition switch, and start the diagnostic tool.
(d). Read the motor data shown on the diagnostic tool.
Check whether the data flow is normalor not.
YES>To step 2
No >Maintenance related faults.
2. Perform visual and external check
(a). Perform visual and external check。
Is the inspection result normal?
YES> To step 3。
No > Exclude the problem and confirm that the phenomenon no longer exists.
3. Check the air intake system
(a). Check whether it leaks of the engine intake and exhaust systems or not.
(b). Check whether the intake pipe has the leakage sound of “hissing” when runs.
(c). Check whether the intake tube is disconnected, cracked, deformed or sealing aged
or not.
