11 9 . Check the ECT senor.
(a) Immerse the temperature sensing part of the
ECT sensor in hot water and measure the
resistance between the ECT sensor terminals
with multimeter.
(b) If not qualified, replace it.
NOTICE

• If the ECT sensor is inspected in water,
prevent water from entering the terminals.
After inspection, wipe the sensor dry.

10 . Install the ECT senor.
Torque: 23 N•m

NOTICE

• Ensure the ECT sensor in the right
direction.
• Install by pressing in. do not allow the use
of any impact tools (such as hammer etc.)
to knock sensor into the hole.
• The sensor must be attached to the
cylinder block with metal surface, and any
type of gasket is not allowed for
installation.
• To avoid breaking, pay attention not to
resonate when wiring the senor signal
cable.

• Apply sealant to plane part when installing
the ECT senor. No sealant at mounting
thread part in order to ensure the good
disassembly and conductivity of the
sensor 。

11 . Install the ECT senor connector.
