17-16 COOLING - THERMOSTAT
THERMOSTAT
OVERHAUL
1 . Switch off the ignition.
2 . Open the engine hood.
3 . Wait until the engine cools down.
4 . Drain the coolant. (Refer to "Chapter 05 Vehicle Maintenance - coolant
replacement, replacement")
5 . Unscrew the clip bolt and pull out the
engine water outlet hose.

6 . Unscrew the fixing bolts and remove the
thermostat housing.
7 . Remove the thermostat.
8 . Remove the thermostat housing gasket.
9 . Check the thermostat:
