OIL PAN AND FILTER ELEMENT

REPLACEMENT
1 . Park the vehicle on a level ground, apply the parking brake, and engage the
“P” gear.
2 . Disconnect the battery negative cable (refer to “Chapter 20 Starting and charging

- Replacement, battery”).
3 . Raise the vehicle.

4 . Screw out the transmission bottom drain
plug and discharge the transmission
lubricating oil.

NOTICE

• •Before discharge, make sure that the vent
plug is unobstructed.
• When discharging the transmission
lubricating oil, use a dedicated vessel to
receive the transmission lubricating oil,
and dispose it as required.
• After the transmission lubricating oil is
discharged, refit the drain plug, and avoid
forgetting this.
Torque:12 N•m

5 . Remove the oil pan.
(a) Screw out the fixing bolt, and take down the
oil pan and gasket.

NOTICE
The removed gasket shall not be further used, 41
and a new gasket shall be fitted.

6 . Take down the transmission filter element.

NOTICE
Pay attention to the seal ring during operation.
