(s) Reconnect the gearshift flexible shaft onto the
transmission.

(t) Tighten the connecting bolt between the rear
propeller shaft universal joint and the
transmission flange plate assembly.
Torque: 65~79N•m

8 . Refit the transfer case assembly (refer to “Chapter 41 Transmission(6HP21) -
Replacement, transfer case (4WD)).

9 . Fill transmission lubricating oil and tighten
the filer plug.
Torque:35 N•m

Transmission lubricating oil (model): ATF

NOTICE

• Transmission lubricating oil products of
different grades shall not be mixed.

• When check the oil level, do park the
vehicle on a level ground.

10 . Lower the vehicle.
11 . Refit the battery negative cable (refer to “Chapter 20 Starting and charging -
Replacement, battery”).
12 . Transmission running-in specification and test

(a) Check whether the gearshifting operation is flexible and whether the gear is fully
engaged.
(b) When testing the transmission, there shall be no abnormal friction sound or impact
sound.
