(d) Confirm whether there is a fault code related to handbrake signal invalid value?

Is the inspection result normal?
YES>To step 2.

NO>Intermittent trouble exists.

2 . Check handbrake switch harness
(a) Ignition switch: OFF.
(b) Disconnect the battery negative cable.
(c) Disconnect connector C013 of combination instrument.
(d) Disconnect connector D007 of handbrake switch.

(e) Use a multimeter to measure the resistance
between the pin 29 of combination instrument
connector C013 and the pin 1 of handbrake
C013 switch connector D007.

NO> Repair or replace harness or connector.

3 . Replace handbrake switch
(a) Replace handbrake switch.
(b) Use a diagnostic apparatus to perform DTC verification procedures.
(c) Implement the steps to read sensor data stream.
(d) Check whether DTC exists and the data is normal.
Is the inspection result normal?

YES>Replace handbrake switch.
NO> To step 4.

4 . Replace ABS/ESP

(a) Replace ABS/ESP.
(b) Use a diagnostic apparatus to perform DTC verification procedures.
(c) Implement the steps to read sensor data stream.
(d) Check whether DTC exists and the data is normal.
