(b). Remove these 3 exhaust manifold heat
shield fixing bolt (arrow direction) and take
down the exhaust manifold heat shield and
bracket weldment.

(c). Remove these 3 bracket weldment fixing
bolts (arrow direction) and the separate the
bracket weldment from the exhaust manifold
heat shield.

5. Check the exhaust manifold heat shield
(a). Check the exhaust manifold heat shield for deformation, breakage or knock marks;
if any, immediately replace it.

6. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield
(a). Assemble the exhaust manifold heat
shield with the bracket weldment, install
the bracket weldment fixing bolt (arrow
direction), and tighten it with the torque of
9±1 N•m.
