ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM - INJECTOR SOLENOID VALVE 11-25
INJECTOR SOLENOID VALVE 11
HOW IT WORKS
The injector solenoid valve is mounted on the
injector, facing the center of the combustion
chamber. It controls the injection volume and
injection timing. The engine control module (ECM)
enables the solenoid valve to be energized by
turning off the switches in high side and low side.
There are four high side switches and four low side
switches in the ECM. Each injector circuit has a
special high side switch that connects the injector
circuit to the high voltage side power supply inside
the ECM. Also, each injector circuit has a special
low side switch to form a complete internal grounding
loop for the ECM.
